Vintage Frank!

February 18, 2012 at 10:58 (Baseball Card Zen, Sports Cards) (, , , , , )

1973 version. Definitely a Dodgers uni, and I'm pretty sure they're playing the Phillies..

This is why I said these cards deserved their own post.  I’m not that hardcore into vintage cards, cuz I’m usually too poor to partake (this also precludes me from high end cards mostly too), but seriously, Frank Robinson.  For less than $3 combined.  I don’t even need to say anything else.  Just enjoy…

1958 youngling version..

And the back..

That is all… Thank you.

Love the vintage multi-player cards. Especially when they include a guy named Birdie and a Hall of Famer.

Too poor to partake. Welcome to my club! I would hand out i.d. tags but I don’t have the money.

When I’m on a COMC kick, I watch the ads closely. There are good deals to be had! The Bailey/Birdie/Frank was just over $2 and the ’73 Frank was just over 50 cents. Even I can handle that price, lol.

Wow I never realized how much baseball cards have changed. These looks so different from the ones my youngest collects. No wonder they’re so expensive!

Yep, everything’s all blinged out now, and even the retro sets that are made to look like vintage sets like these are made on vastly superior stock.
