2 40%-off 2011 Topps Series 2 Blasters

From Walmart:

Blackout!

They look awesome, but it sucks how ridiculously condition sensitive these things are.

And the last of the non-keeper Blackouts.

Get ur shine on..

Duos & 60s. Not much to say about these..

The lone gold. Not that it matters much. Let’s have gold parallels look like 2012’s Gold Sparkles from now on please..

Perhaps you like kicking it old school (or hair on the edge of your scan)..

The only original back I pulled. You’d think I would’ve remembered to scan the back, but no. This one is reluctantly available..

Tradercracks claimed these already..

Tradercracks also claimed this..

McCutchen is available though. But be forewarned that the patch is slightly loose on it..

That is all.  Everything not claimed by Tradercracks is available.  Thanks for stopping by!

Spin the wheel, make the deal…

The Return of Lonestarr

Woo…

That’s right, I’m back in action.  Let’s see how long that lasts this time…

Anyway, I failed miserably at the whole NaNoWriMo thing. I got up to 14000+ words and pretty close to back on schedule early on, but then I just kinda… stopped, and never picked it back up.  Dunno why.  There was no reason for it.  Just… never got back to it.  But anyway, it’s finally time to get back to this blog.  So here I am.  Hey. 😉

Right, so I’m back, but honestly, my heart is not really in the cards right now.  I’ve still been picking stuff up when it’s on sale, and doing rather well, all things considered.  I’ve got five blasters (most of them above average or better) and 77 cards from Check Out My Cards worth of stuff to scan, and tons of old trades, as well as a handful of notable cards from the tons and tons of cards I received from the Wicked One’s charity group break to post about too.

Overall though, I’m feeling pretty meh on the whole card thing right now.  Between a bad eBay experience, no new releases really catching my interest, and the cold of winter setting in, I’m just not feeling it.  If not for how good the blasters I’ve picked up have been to me (seriously, one had two hits and several key rookies from the year of it’s release, amongst other goodies), I’d probably be out of sports cards completely at the moment, and spending my limited funds on personal sketch cards.  So why am I even back you ask?

Well, I’m mostly back to take care of old business, get my lingering end of old trades finished, and to make all the other ones in much earlier stages happen.  After that’s all taken care of, I dunno.  I have been indulging my geekier side a lot more of late, so that may start being reflected here, assuming I can keep up with blogging.  So don’t freak out if you see reviews of random comic books and whatnot, you’ve still come to the right place.  I think.  Maybe.

I’m not sure how drastic things will be changing things on the blog, but the focus is going to get murkier, that’s for sure.  Regardless, it is good to be back (again).

Finally, if people I’ve had trade talks with would like to comment or shoot me an email (it’s on my google profile, linked over on the sidebar…), to refresh my memory on what our dealings were for, that would be awesome.  As for the people I still owe my end of trades to, I think I’m pretty close to ready to go with most of them, but feel free to inquire on the progress/make sure I have your order right/chew me out for my slowness/easily distractedness, if you so desire.

That’s all for now I guess.  I’ll be wandering the blogs, seeing what I’ve missed for most of the last month, the rest of the morning if you need me (just woke up).

I leave you this morning with a quartet of Ancient Icons I picked up ages ago that I don’t think I’ve ever gotten around to posting before.

Ancient AND Iconic..

Until our next…

Ustream Tonight

I will be doing a live break on ustream of 3 blasters I picked up cheap at Shopko last night. Their entire stock of $20 blasters was marked down to $14.99, and I also had a $10 off any purchase over $40 thing so I picked up four 2010 blasters for $12.50 apiece. Sweetness.

I opened the first one, 2010 topps206, in the car immediately after picking it up. It had nothing of note, but come see what resides in the other three at 8:30pm est/7:30pm cst this evening.  I’ll be busting a blaster of topps Chrome baseball, topps Heritage baseball, and topps Platinum football, all from this year.

Go HERE to watch my break, and then after mine is finished, hop on over to the Wicked One‘s ustream channel at 10pm est/9pm cst to watch the first part of his massive early-mid ’90s group break.

EDIT: The Cast went well, a few people showed up, pulled an auto & some nice chrome-age & fractors.  It was a good time, and the new mic works like a dream.  Come on by & say hey next time!
